Tips for photographing or selecting
images that work the best for 3D textures:
-
Avoid images with reflections or glare.
-
Image needs to be lit well - in bright but not direct
sunlight.
-
Avoid extremely skewed images. Best
images are parallel and
perpendicular to the subject material.
-
Image should show flat or nearly flat subject material.
-
Higher resolution images usually work the
best, but view angle and lighting are the most important aspects.
-
Images may be in any common digital
format (.jpg, .png, .bmp, gif etc.)
-
Images may also be submitted via URL link
to company or manufacturer. Include style, color and name of
product.
