Client Input & Change Order Fees

1.
BEFORE 3D Model Construction can begin:

The first phase of a 3D project is a time for idea exchange and data gathering.

The client much choose the building materials and products to be used in their home.  or agree to allow 3DPlanView make these choices for them.  3DPlanView will use this information much like a builder or an interior decorator and "install" these choices in the virtual 3D model to represent different fabrics, paints, or building products.

  • 3DPlanView will create a project quote based on the level of client input:

    • Least Client Input: A client can request that 3DPlanView choose products from the 3DPlanView library to be applied to their 3D model, then there will be no added customization fees.  This will be the least expensive option.

    • Moderate Client Input: 3DPlanView will listen to the client's design ideas and request, then allow the client to choose from a set of items.  (Example list for Stucco .) The client is given a chance to make choices that fit their style, at a lesser expense than totally custom created item (see below).

    • Highly Detailed Client Input: Some client request that their 3D model show specific 'real world' building materials.  They want to use the 3D renderings to help them decide on the real world products they will eventually purchase.  These items include anything you see in your home, stone, siding, brick, paint and even custom furniture and fabrics.  ( Example of custom furniture.) 3DPlanView will quote a fee for matching each of these real world items.. The prices to create these custom items vary depending on complexity:

    • Example:
Custom matched building materials are usually $10.00,
Custom fixtures and furniture are usually $25 to $75

  • If specific instructions are not given by the client, 3DPlanView will apply materials and products that fit the style of the home.  These 3DPlanView choices will take the place of the client's input.

After a client gives 3DPlanView their decisions and choices, or decides to allow 3DPlanView to choose for them, any changes to these items will incur an additional "change order fee".  (See below.)

2. AFTER 3D Model Construction Begins

3DPlanView will post preview images showing their virtual 3D model on a "client page".  A client will be able to see the 3D model's progress through these 3D preview renderings.

What if I do not like my original design choices after I see my preview 3Ds?
After the 3D model is under construction, most clients want to make changes or see alternate versions of their design.
Since these changes take time to apply there will be a fee.

What types of things can I change and how much will it cost?
A client can change just about anything in the 3D model.

For example: Client may request to change the paint color of a room.
Client submits a .jpg of the color or a paint brand and color name.
3DPlanView edits the 3D model and applies the new paint color
Change order fee =  $5.00

Client request to change from plain windows to divided light windows (grills).
3DPlanView installs new window style to all windows on the 3D Model
Change order fee =  $10.00 (One charge for all windows of the same type)

Client request to change the style of the garage door.
Client submits a new brand or JPG example of a garage door.
3DPlanView 'installs' new style garage door into 3D Model.
Change order fee = $10.00

Client decides that a wall is in the wrong place or wishes to make structural changes.  3DPlanView will create an estimate/quote for doing such work.
All change order fees are calculated by the complicity of the change.

Making these changes to a 3D model is far less expensive than making the changes after sticks brick construction begins!
3D previews give the client a clear picture of their ideas
BEFORE they begin to PAY for the building materials and labor.

For example:

The fee to do a 3D change, to make a entirely new layout for a 3D bath or kitchen,
can cost as little as $100.00

If the client waits till AFTER construction begins, a move to plumbing or a wall can cost thousands, and delay the project for weeks.

3. After changes to your 3D model have been applied,
there will be a fee to re-render the scene.

Prices for re-rendering depends on the type of re-rendering requested:

  • $10.00 basic re-renderings

  • $30.00 for re-renderings with lighting and shadows

  • $40.00 to post a new VRML showing a house full of changes

All changes and re-rendering fees must be paid when requested.
